Emily Freeman, MSW, LCSW
Emily has worked with families and children for more than 10 years. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently practices as an individual and family therapist for both children and adults. She earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from East Carolina University in 2006 where she was a North Carolina Child Welfare Education Collaborative Scholar and member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society. Emily’s post graduate work focused on children and families. She has experience assessing children and adults for substance abuse, neglect, physical abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, sexual abuse, developmental disabilities, pre-natal/post-partum issues, and parenting. She also has experience with psycho-social assessments, crisis assessment and management. Her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation, and Substance Abuse Treatment. She uses Cognitive Behavioral interventions with a Family Systems perspective.
